Safely Transporting Computer And Tv By Car?

I’m going to be moving soon. I want to spend a couple weeks on the way, camping and stuff. I have a computer, CRT monitor, and TV with me. . . none have the original packaging. I figure if I put them on the back seat, it will be enough cushion for them, but will the electronics get cooked by sitting in the hot car? I could put them in the trunk but I assume I would have to pad them somehow.

you can take out the car seat and make room for the stuff and put a pillow as a cushion between the items. The Heat shouldn’t be an issue

In most instances that should be fine. If you want to be safe and put them in your trunk, go to a local computer store and ask for some anti-static bags. Some places might charge you but I don’t think they’re too expensive. You can use the bags to place internal components in. Then put them in a box with Styrofoam or bubble-wrap (only with anti-static bags).
I wouldn’t worry too much about the CRT or TV

They’ll be fine, unless you’re taking the backroads, might want to set them in the floorboards then.
