With just your bank details and national insurance number ,if this is true then how are labour going to protect all those people contained in the missing child benefit list that has now gone missing which holds all this information and more?

This is what happens when you don,t have ID cards: I live in Spain and ID,s are compulsory and very useful. You are obliged to carry it and in cases of accidents people are identified very quickly and identity theft is rare. it must be shown when paying by credit card and when dealing with any paper work. There is no problem. I don,t understand why everyone complains.
This has been going on for years and will ID cards make any difference to criminals, I don’t think so.
