hi, i have a acer lap top and i was trying to hook it up 2 my flat screen, now the problem is that when i go to settings there it is set as defult 1 monitor and i ben all in the comp to unset the defult monitor w. t. f. do i do be4 I though it out the window any pls help thanks.

hi gary, i connected my laptop to TV using VGA and mini to RCA but ‘m getting audio in s-video mode and video in RGB-PC mode. my laptop is sony vaio and tv is LG. pls help. thank you very much

You need to look at the TV user manual to see which audio input is paired with the VGA connector. Looking at the back of th eTV they are often right next to each other. On our LG tv’s there is a mini connector so a straight PC mini to PC mini cable may be your answer.

Is there a Yellow video thingy to male VGA cable?

Google ‘VGA to Composite video converter’ to find the boxes that will do the conversion. I bought a $40 box for my college kid about a year ago and he loves it.
